A Frustrating Morning

I took Ellie to her hottie pediatrician this morning for her six month check-up. She weighed 14 pounds 1 ounce and was 27 inches tall (which is high normal), and apparently is veering off the "normal curve" in the downward way. He said that it tells him my milk is "going away" (I know--not exactly MD vocabulary!). I completely disagree. She is content after eating, and I have plenty of it squirting all over the place when she is off looking around getting a milk bath. This is also the same time that Faith fell off the charts, and she is totally normal, just small, now. So, anyway, Ellie is showing all the milestones of a 9 month old (crawling, pulling up, separation anxiety). So I have an advanced baby! Yay! Actually, I would prefer the slower ones because they are babies a little longer, and I do love babies!

Ugh!! So it has been a frustrating day. I have second guessed myself all day, trying to put out of my mind that she is getting too small. What if I am hurting her by breastfeeding her? What if she IS too little? yuck yuck yuck I just can't handle this!!

I love you!! You and Ellie are in my prayers, sometimes doctors don't know what they are saying. Mom's doctor told my brother he was mentally challenged and a week later took it back and apologized like none other because he'd made such a huge mistake. Hope your family's well.

Just supplement the breast milk with more of those doughnuts with sprinkles! That will keep her off the "small" charts (this advise comes from an expert who knows!!!)

J U S T K I D D I N G!!

This too, will pass. Hang in there.

Well those chubby cheeks are evidence to the contrary! She's fine. Maybe one of these days before she goes to kindergarten you could start her on a little thing called food.kidding! Love you.

I seriously doubt your milk is going away or not enough...but it's about the time she will WANT to eat more food anyway....so I honestly would not give the docs comment to much thought. She looks healthy!
