For real this time...

Ellie has cut her first tooth! She has been miserably grumpy and clingy. Her nose is running, her face and clothes stay sopping wet, and she keeps biting down on anything she can put her tooth on (she has not bitten "me" yet in case any of you are wondering, but I am sure my time is coming). She also decided that she really wants to stand up. So she gets on her knees and grabs whatever she can find that is taller than her and hoists her little body up to a standing position. She is unually unsuccessful, but last night she was able to do it numerous times to our legs. Eek!! I am just not ready for that kind of mobility.

On a healthy note, we have changed our eating habits around here. I have put my family on an organic diet (with my husbands approval and enthusiasm). We are trying really hard to use all organic ingredients in anything that we eat. Because our town is small, we do not have a lot of opportunity for pickiness, so we manage as best we can with what we have. I have not yet added organic meats because 1. the chicken is $8.99 a pound 2. the steaks are $16.99 a pound, and 3. no one in town carries organic ground beef. I am still trying to replace our staple products, and I am on a budget, so I cannot yet afford the meats and cheeses, but soon...
We are also doing a whole body cleanse and have seriously reduced our coke intake. In fact, Cameron is off of Diet Coke (bc of the aspartame, and it was HIS choice since the beverage fridge is still loaded with them). We have conquered the caffiene withdrawal headaches and lethargy (holy cow, that was NOT fun!!), but the craving for the perfectly fizzy sweet coca-cola has lessened...some. :)

I am ill right now with an attackof allergies from the weird weather changes. My voice has disappeared, and it has nothing to do with my yelling at the girls! hehehe Now I can't even call them without walking to their rooms...hehehe. Exercise is good I tell you, good!!

Now the pooperator calls. I must go change some poop and clean the messes that have been made. We had apple cinnamon bran muffins for breakfast, which were FANTASTIC if anyone wants the recipe, but yuck, this one is not going to be fun!!

A tooth! I guess she's not really that young for a tooth, but she is for wanting to stand up and move around like she does. I bet she'll be walking between 9-10 months. Some things are just out of our control--so get ready, mamma!
