so fun!
I should have taken a picture. I didn't, but I recognize that I should have. Perhaps it will make you go do it for yourself. I am talking about exploding soap in case you weren't able to read my mind. You take a quarter of a bar of Ivory soap and pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Watch closely...you don't want to miss it! Not that you can...the soap goes nuts! It just starts growing and growing and just when you think it is a monster taking over your microwave while making your kitchen smell like you have cleaned all day, it stops. The kids will squeal. You will grin like you have a little secret, and your offspring will think you are the coolest mom ever. Because you will be. And in case you'd like to explain WHY it does that, I'll help you out. The soap is full of air (this is why it floats when other soaps do not) and a little bit of moisture. As the air heats up, it expands and grows. It is the same concept as a kernel of corn turning into popped corn. Now go buy some Ivory soap. NOW!
