The Globetrotters!!

I have wanted to see the Globetrotters since my best friend in Junior High went and told me all about it back when I was only 13.  I knew they were coming to town, so I asked Cam if we could go.  His reply was something like, "suuuureeee".  He probably wasn't even paying attention...but he did suggest I go in San Angelo due to the smaller venue, so I looked, and they were SOLD OUT.  I decided to just give up that dream because I didn't want to look anymore or drive to Dallas or pester Cam...then, a couple days later I called a friend to give her a hard time about not being there while her nephew was performing at the basketball game we were watching, and she said that they were going to be performing at the Globetrotters game in a couple weeks!  I told her that we were just talking about that game, and she said she could get us tickets for only $15!!  As you can imagine, I was super excited and felt that God was smiling real big at me because, He is, after all, my Father.  And Daddys love it when their kids are happy!  :) So, my teenage dream came true.  I FINALLY got to go on Saturday night!  It was just as fun as I had always hoped it would be, and we had really fabulous seats!!  The girls couldn't stop smiling.  When I told them we got tickets for it, they, as a huge disappointment to me, were a bit unemotional about it.  Then they saw the promo on tv and an interview with the female globetrotter on the news and got a little more excited.  But probably not as excited as me...this was my treat.  We went with some good friends, so we went to dinner beforehand, and had a super great evening!  Love those Globetrotters!!
