Girl's Trip!

One of my very best friends, Chatty, and I had the opportunity to go to Canton (the place where shopping dreams come true) on Thursday and Friday.  Yes, this means that I got to stay in a hotel, which I love to do but rarely get the chance to do!  You see, Chatty is the answered prayer from a couple years ago, and she is moving a few months before we move.  Her husband is a chaplain in the navy/marines, so we have no idea where she will be.  It hurts my heart to think that we may not see each other again, so we are taking every opportunity to spend time together before we are separated by life.  Anyway, we drove to Canton on Thursday afternoon and lightly shopped (a lot of the booths were not open yet) in the Trade Days Area.  Then we decided to just skip it and shop there tomorrow and go to The Dish Barn instead.  This place is the storehouse for Fiestaware dishes.  I love my Fiesta!  I also said I wouldn't be buying more because I have to box it all up in 5 months anyway.  Chatty just got started with her Fiesta obsession this past Christmas.  While helping her pick things, the excitement overwhelmed me and I totally came home with new pieces.  I can enjoy them for a while right?!  I think this store was the highlight of our shopping.  Chatty went home with some gorgeous things and the biggest smile you've ever seen.  She almost couldn't sleep Thursday night because of her excitement!  Friday we shopped all day then came home early evening.  The time away really wasn't about the shopping or the dishes, but about being together.  We laughed so much and teased and just played together.  We made memories that will always be there.  I am so thankful for her...
