So. We were having this conversation yesterday about coffee. I love coffee. I drink it all day in the winter because my house is SO cold that I need it to keep my insides warm. That being said, I drink decaf mostly. Sometimes I half it with regular, but the caffeine doesn't have any effect on me until I stop having it. Then I have a raging headache for a week. I hate that feeling that something has control over me...so I prefer decaf. Well, once that was said, my sweet friend who will remain anonymous until she reads this (ha!) said that I was addicted to sugar. HELLO!! That thought never even crossed my mind. I went without sugar while doing P90x. It is possible. I prefer to have sweet things though. They just taste good. I mean, come on. I bake all the time. And though it may seem to be what I think about all the time, it really is more the fun of making something that other people like. I don't eat much of it. In fact, I try to limit my sweet things to one a day. I don't eat candy. Chocolate in the form of cake is great, but other forms I can usually pass up. So my challenge this week is no sugar. I will cheat for my Starbucks treat, but other than that, I won't. I have had 3 cups of coffee today without sugar. It isn't as good, but its warm, and I will take it. I made pancakes for the girls for dinner, and I had mine with a little butter and a banana. I REALLY wanted to put powdered sugar all over it. Because that is what I do. But I resisted. And I lived through it. I did have a tall vanilla latte from Starbucks though. Cam called and asked if he could bring me one...I didn't want to hurt his feelings ;)
I'll keep you posted on how this goes!

Ha! I'm reading your blog, while eating lunch...which is a frozen waffle with (gasp) syrup. I had a stressful weekend, so I turned to my comfort food (chocolate). It's all downhill from there!
