Praise is in order!

I have been wrestling with a ministry opportunity for about a month.  I went to the pregnancy center in Cleburne in for an initial visit before Christmas and had some reservations, but blew them off as nerves for doing something new.  I went two weeks ago for the first time to volunteer and "learn the ropes".  I was able to sit in on a counseling session, but other than that one visit, I sat a table looking at a manual for four hours.  There were some things that troubled me about protocol and general beliefs, but again, I tried to push them aside as things Satan was trying to use to convince me to not participate.  However, as my day to go again approached, my heart was filled with dread and everything in me did not want to go.  I enlisted the prayer of a couple ladies and continued to pray for guidance.  Last night, I finally got an answer!  It was about midnight when I realized the dread and the unrest in my soul was not Satan, but my Father telling me that this is not where He wants me.  He has other plans for me, so I got up and emailed the director (I was supposed to go this morning to observe some more, but their phones were not working I suppose, because my call wouldn't go through).  She replied graciously and wished me well and said she hoped that someday I would be able to volunteer there!  Her reply was affirmation to me, as was the peace I felt as I fell asleep last night..  Praise Jesus for answered prayers!!

Another praise is in order for the answered prayers about Faith.  She brought her schoolbook in to my bed last night about 8:30 and said she wanted to finish what she couldn't do yesterday morning.  She opened her book and read every word!  She finished it quickly with a smile on her face.  In school today, she did all her work and some of tomorrow's work because she wasn't ready to stop!  I am so proud of her diligence.  THEN, on top of that, she had a dentist appointment today to fill a cavity (she has acid reflux and apparently, according to the dentist, the acid comes up and eats away her back teeth).  I didn't go back as they fixed her up, but when I went back to pay, the dentist came out and said to me, "If you could bottle her up and sell her, you would make a fortune!  She is a complete sweetheart."  It did my heart good to hear that!  Yay! Faith!!
