The Injustice
I suffer from migraines. Lately, they have been bi-weekly if not more. Sunday I took my last pill, but luckily I had a prescription for more, so I took it in today. I haven't had to fill a prescrip because I had samples from when they began (it is just in the last 6 months or so that they have been so frequent) and my mom gave me some of hers. :) Don't tell anyone. Anyway. My total was $152.00 With insurance. For SIX pills. SIX. Isn't that nuts. I didn't get them. I am going to call around. The last time I called around for a prescription, Walgreens was significantly higher than all the others. I just thought (hoped) that this would covered with a copay from my insurance. Ugh. So I have a migraine now. But I found some medicine (don't laugh) and I took it and it is dulling it. I can at least open my eyes without feeling the need for puking. Good thing too because my little one cannot be trusted without adult supervision and her Daddy is at the library!

Oh girl. I feel for you.
Have you ever taken Midrin? It's available in generic. I take it at onset and it usually keeps me out of the E.R.
Steph I used to work with a dr. that swore by this remedy for Migrains.....@ first onset chew 2 asiprin (325mg) & drink a mountain dew....I know the thought of having to "chew" asprin is horrid...but his patients used it & all seemed to have excellent results...cant hurt to try & is an excellent alternative to price rx's...hope it works :)
Have you tried Costco? They are significantly lower on all their prescriptions. They have a prescription pricing link on their website where you can look the price up before you have it filled. You don't have to be a member to have your prescriptions filled, either.
