Testing

As homeschoolers, we are not bound by the laws that make children take TAKS exams.  Therefore, we don't take them...however.  I administered last years test to Gracie this morning.  It was eye opening to me to see how little she knew about standardized testing.  She didn't even know to fill in the bubble!  She checked it.  :)  She did really well on the test (made my heart relax), but I also learned a few areas that I haven't covered with her.  I also learned how different teaching styles and vocabulary change the way you view questions.  Overall, it was a good experience.  :)
