It has been awhile. Sorry about that...but really, nothing exciting has happened. You haven't missed a thing. Some of you may have received a letter from me...please don't be offended. I KNOW asking for money is taboo. And I don't mean to ask for money. You can choose to simply pray for us. And by simply, I don't mean that it isn't as important. In fact, I think it is the MOST important part of going on a mission trip. When we went to China, I was beat to a pulp, I felt, by Satan. I need to know people are here praying for us. The people there who haven't ever heard about Jesus need you to pray for them. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE it if you would send me a little note telling me you will pray. God may use you to help us financially, but honestly. I'm not worried about it...He will provide. He always does.
Now let me share my feelings about Africa. I feel like this is the place God has softened my heart towards. I feel like when we go permanently, it will be in this country. Now, I admit that I could be so wrong :) but I am burdened for the people who live there. Did I mention I am in love with their babies? Ohhhhh...my heart beats double time when I see them, and I cannot wait to get to hold them!! A part of me is a little nervous about going...it is a stretch for me. I would really much rather be home alone reading a good book. But I don't think that will grow His Kingdom any...so I will go. I will stand in front of others and testify to His goodness and grace and give a plan of salvation (see why I need you to pray!). I will even *gulp* wear a dress with tennis shoes if I have to (we have to wear dresses to honor their culture, and tennis shoes are necessary to climb the mountains). However, I am trying to find an alternative to this fashion faux pas!
In conslusion (hehe), please don't be offended at our cry for help. Please remember to pray for me (if you need me to send you a nice picture of me I'm sure I could oblige. hehe. You could put me on your mirror). Oh yeah!! Don't forget Cam put the wrong address on the letter...your postcard (or email) with the correction should be there shortly. I'm telling you. If you want it done right, you really must do it yourself! LOL I'm teasing. If it was left to me, it never would have gotten sent out. :) Love you!!

Just call them Jesus shoes. You can have a fashion faux pa or whatever if its for Jesus. besides no one else there would know any better.
You for sure will be in my prayers.
You sweet girl! You don't EVER have to apologize for doing what God tells you to do. Besides, raising funds for the cause is all part of mission work. I will be praying for you. I always do. but especially while you're in Africa! Now, if you decide to take my granddaughters to live half way around the world, you might have to apologize then. Just kidding. Love you.
