We are surviving the land of no internet, but not gracefully. I miss being in touch with all my cyber peeps!! I didn't realize how much I used internet to stay connected...
On a happier note, we LOVE our new church home. I have never felt so loved! The people are wonderful and the preaching is...well, let's just say I am shocked and a bit disappointed when the hour is up! Bro. Jerry is touched by the Spirit and has a heart for seeing others come to know Christ. Say a prayer for him, would ya? He is battling Lymphoma (he just found out about 10 days ago), and the family is hurting. He is rejoicing in the Lord and praising Him through this storm, but it still hurts.
Cameron is fitting right in in his new position...he had the opportunity to go to a prison and preach last week, and 42 men accepted Jesus!! Praise the Lord! He led his first Christmas Cantata last week, and it was a success, and actually really good! I am enjoying seeing him all dressed up every Sunday in a suit and tie. I married a handsome man!
The Lord is still providing in His unexpected, very surprising ways. We had a visitor 3 Saturdays ago (and every Saturday since) at 8:30 in the morning. He asked us to come out to his car, and what we saw stoppped me in my tracks. His car was LOADED with bakery items. Bread, buns, donuts, and all things found in a bakery. His son owns a store and every Saturday he loads up the car with items from the week to pass out. Our house is on his way to wherever he goes, so we get first choice! God provides. We have found that our new home is very very cold in the winter. And expensive. This morning, as we were preparing to leave, a knock sounded at the door. It was a couple from our church that we had shared dinner with last night at their home. They brought us two digital space heater things to warm up our home!! God provides. We are just amazed at the God we serve. Even in the midst of a financial drought that isn't all peaches, He shows us His love in a way that makes us forget just how hard life is right now. We are BLESSED!!!
I survived my first semester back at college. I am relieved it is over! It was tough at times, but mostly just a nuisance. :) I have decided that the best choice, mainly for financial reasons, is to draw out the whole degree thing over two more semesters. I will graduate (if the classes I need are offered) next December. I am taking 12 hours again in the spring and 11 in the fall. Then I'm done. Hopefully forever!!
We have an addition to our family...a maltipoo!!! Her name is Mollie Beth, and she is precious. She has these big ol' ears and scraggly fur, but she is full of spunk and life. My girls adore her and take on all the responsibilty that she asks for. It is so neat to see them love her like they do!!
That is about all I think. We are in San Angelo until Saturday...enjoying family and celebrating the birth of our Savior! I hope that you know the love of Jesus in a personal way this season and every season. He is mighty and real and loves you so!
