First Day of School 2009

Faith has been asking to learn to read. A LOT. So today we started pre-school with her. She will learn her letters and the sounds they make, vocabulary words, shapes and colors, poetry, and have a new theme every week. She is very excited! We are also going to start Spanish...
Gracie is starting second grade! She is a fantastic reader already, so I feel like this year we get to "learn". She knows the basics, now we get to really start to expand on everything. She is taking some really great classes at our homeschool COOP, and we will be doing some fun things at home too. We are going to start to focus a lot on learning things around the home this year outside of class...baking/cooking, chores, laundry (maybe. haha), the basics of being a woman. I am really excited about this year with her. She is a joy to teach!

My little hard worker. She was on a slow pace this morning, but she was really paying attention to the details...last year she didn't do that. She is just such a blast to teach!!

Ok sister, can I just say how much I love that you homeschool and write about how much you love your hubby ... I never knew about the Burt's Bees ... how cute!
