My Sweet Faith

Umm. I forgot to update y'all on Faith. I really know nothing more than I knew before those invasive tests. She has inflammation in her colon, intestine, and esophagus. So they want more bloodwork. To rule out Collotis and Krohn's disease (I thought we already did that, but I guess not. ugh!) So that has yet to be scheduled. I am beyond frustrated. These two diseases were his fear with all her symptoms, so tell me. WHY didn't he do the blood test FIRST?? It makes no sense to me. This will be the third time we have to have bloodwork. Y'all. She's 3! Ridiculous. So, I refused the medication they gave her a prescription for (to reduce the inflammation). Because 1. he told me it was very minor inflammation 2. it was $65 3. I have a problem giving my kids drugs they don't actually need. 4. they aren't doing more tests to see if it has gone down, so it must not have been that big of a deal. AND 5. I just hate medicine. I HATE it. I don't like putting that in their little bitty bodies. It bothers me. It worries me. It makes me ill. So there. Take that. I am going to try very very very hard to reduce her dairy intake and make her drink more water. And I will pray that God heal whatever it is that is causing the blood. Which I think is the dairy. Because I am really a doctor in disguise. Didn't y'all know?!!

Hey - this may be totally off track, but a friend of ours had alot of blood like that too, and he decided to put himself on this thing called the elimination diet -you pretty much cut out fiber and dairy and other things. I am sure you can find it online. Then, you gradually add things back into your diet after a certain time to see what is causing it. He is convinced that it is a food allergy that is causing the blood. The doctors think he is crazy, but so far it has worked! :) It might be worth looking into!

I would be furious too. If they could have decided everything for sure with blood work first then why not do that. grrrr
I'll keep her and you in my prayers.
