Do you see that? In her mouth? I promised myself I would not resort to making one of those available to her. But I have no idea what else to do!! She has been weaned for over a month now, but she still pulls my shirt down and throws fits for a *boob*. She has this need to suck I guess. When Cam and I went for our little getaway (I didn't tell y'all about it!!), she attacked my mom in the middle of the night. And won. It woke my mom up. hehehe Bet that was a surprise! Do you see that? In her mouth? I promised myself I would not resort to making one of those available to her. But I have no idea what else to do!! That is freakin' HILARIOUS (I'm sorry, but it is funny) about her "attacking" her mom. I can imagine how SUPRISED she was when she woke up. ;) I don't know what to do to about the whole paci situation. My mom cut the nipple off mine and told me it was broke. Isn't that mean? I guess it worked, though. Poor Ellie, first you take away her boob and now this!! :)
Oh no!!! I bet your Mom got quite a surprise!! I bet little Ellie will outgrow the pacie. Shelby took one from the time she was born until she was around 12 mo. and just dropped it all by herself (but then she went to her thumb and we have yet to break her from it!) Bethany has never cared for one so I guess we're lucky on that one.
I would just let her have it. Like you said, some kids just need to have something to suck on for comfort. She won't take it to kindergarten, trust me. And she's still just a baby--when she really starts talking and doing more big girl activities, I bet she'll outgrow it.
