Vacation Bible School. That pretty much sums it up, but I will TRY to elaborate more so you can feel like you were there with us.
On Sunday, the school started. I am a teacher in Gracie's class, which is the PreK/K class. We have about 9 kids, some extremely shy, others on a whole 'nother planet! There is one boy, Sutton, who is absolutely adorable. He wears his fitted hat crooked on his head and his Oakley look-alikes when he outdoors. He is the epitamy of "cool". I will try to sneak a picture tonight so you all can see just how cute this little guy is! Then there is a little girl who is so shy she borders on disrespect. She won't participate at all, but she is playful with her friends. And I cannot fail to mention the "cool" girl. She wil be in the first grade, and she has her own cell phone! She pretends to talk on it pretty frequently, and she usually wears chin length plastic clip on earrings that are all sparkly. She looks like a pop star wannabe. Then we have Gracie. She is totally in her own little world. However, she just walked in here and asked me what I thought Jaden (cool girl) would wear tonight! Hehehe. She is very much wanting to be grown up. She also has her Daddy's "need" to win. There was a relay game that we played that she wouldn't play because she didn't want to get tagged. She only "likes to win". That sounds familiar...I had to tell her that quitting pretty much ensures that you will lose every single time. So she played it the next time we played. Good girl!! We have music every night to prepare for the "concert" that they will put on Friday night. This is where Gracie feels most comfortable. She loves music. She listens to the cd all day and knows most of the words for all the songs. She actually sounds pretty good too!
Now, Faith isn't really in a class. Faith is...Faith. She was stripping down naked yesterday during my class's game time because she wanted to potty in the grass. One night, she found her way to the stage during assembly and quietly stood up there until it was over. She is the one that gives us so much laughter. You really can't help but to laugh when she is around.
Ellie has started devouring solids this week. I guess that happens when you really FEED a child. hehehe. She also has figured out that if she opens wide you will fill her mouth and she will have ammo to spit at you. It is so darn cute though! She smiles real big then blows a rasberry, spraying cereal or sweet potatoes all over my glasses...funny girl.

Sounds like a great class. They want to be so big so fast. Give the girls a hug for us. Have fun at VBS tonight.
