Home at Last

Let me tell you...the drive home from Fort Worth about kicked our rears! Ellie had to be fed three times, and Faith wanted "OUT" pretty much the entire trip. The drive up there was just perfect. Ellie slept the whole way there and Faith did most of the way too. Those little stinkers...

Our weekend was really great. We got to see my neice Star's soon to be home (Casey and Shannon are buying a new to them house). It is very sunny with lots and lots of windows. The layout is really nice, making it seem (to me at least) much larger than it really is. Once they get a fresh coat of paint on everything and the carpets cleaned up, it is going to be a really nice home for them!

We even got to spend some time with my favorite brother-in-law (as he calls himself when he wants something). Kinda of weird since he lives in San Angelo too, but nice. He and Shawna are looking for a house up there too (I am NOT happy about this!), and we got to go see a prospect for them. It was super nice! Maybe they will get that one so I can spend some time in the big garden tub...

We also had the opportunity to go to Life Church while we were there. It was different than what we are used to, but I loved it!! The message was fantastic (what I heard of it anyway) and the music was just great. I had a slight difference with the childcare department, but I am hard to please in that area because my babies are not used to being away from me.

Then we went to PeiWei (or however you spell that). I don't know why I have never been there before, but it was fantastic!! I can't wait to go back again! Couple that with Pappasitos, some great BBQ place, my Father-in-law's burgers, and the fudge shop at Cabelas, and I must say, the eating this weekend was WONDERFUL!!

Now I have to unpack and get back to our non-routine around here. There is laundry to be washed, diapers to be changed, school to be taught. I have to get the oil changed, shop for groceries, make a trip to the bank...busy stuff. I should get goin'!!

Sorry I couldn't meet up with you--we stayed pretty busy all weekend. However, it sounds like you were pretty busy, too. What BBQ place was it? And you better not say Colters or Cousin's because that stuff is just inedible. And eating three times on the trip? You got BBQ coming outta those things or something?

We've tried to take you to Pei Wei before and you shuned it like we were taking you to some dive.

The BBQ place was Smoke House I think...it's owned by the people who own Spring Creek from what I know. It was off of 35W and Golden Triangle (I think).

That's really one of the main things I miss about the city...the FOOD!

Pei Wei is for weirdos. Both times i've been there have been so many people in they practically breathe all over my food and I don't do the "shared table" thing. Give me some chicken fried steak or enchiladas and i'll be happy.
