Another one of those days

Cam has been off two days this week...which rarely happens.  We decided to take advantage of it and spend the days with him.  In theory, this was a great idea.  In reality, it has caused turmoil in the schoolroom.  Because the girls were off Tuesday and Thursday, every school day this week has been a Monday.  We have been frustrated and unmotivated...myself included.  Today, they just keep whining about being done.  I want to scream at them.  I want them to realize how lucky they are to have already had two days off this week.  I had planned on taking them to see a movie today, but we can't go if there is still schoolwork to be done.  Which means I get punished too.  You would think, as teacher, that I could make them do their work.  I can't.  And I'm regretting the days off.  Seriously.
