We started school three weeks ago...kinda. We started early to try to work the kinks out of new curriculum and teaching two children in more subjects at the same time with different topics. We were not consistent in our studies. Ha! I didn't expect it to be so hard to have school when the rest of the community is not. It seemed like as soon as we determined to start, invites came from all over the place to do stuff. So, we, of course, did. This week has been our first "real" week of school I suppose that means. It is going well! Faith is reading like a champ (PRAISE THE LORD!) and Gracie is as easy as always. We joined a Homeschool group yesterday that hosts all sorts of field trips and parties for every holiday. I am especially excited about the parties! They even offer ballet and tumbling on Thursdays for a very inexpensive rate! I'm not certain we will do that, but it would be a great time for me to get to visit with other homeschool moms too...which I need. You know how you just sometimes feel so alone...Anyway, things are going great in homeschool world over here! The big girls have the opportunity to do something fabulous in September too! Be watching for that post ;)
