Cam's return

A week ago last night, I picked my greatly missed and very hairy (he hadn't shaved for two weeks) husband up from the airport.  He was beyond ill.  The Sunday before they left Honduras, he started feeling bad, and by the next day he had full blown fever, shakes, aches, and headache.  When I saw him, his medicine was working pretty good, but he was moving slowly, his skin was pallid, and his eyes were ringed in black.  We made it home, and he went to bed.  For days.  I took him to the doctor on Tuesday morning (the day after he got home) and they did some blood work to test for malaria.  It took a week to get the results back in!  The test returned with a negative result, but apparently that test has a very high false negative rate, so they will not say he doesn't have it unless they see two negative results.  Of course, being a man who is stubborn, he refuses to have more blood work done.  Don't worry!  I am watching him.  If he relapses even slightly, he will go right back to the doctor!  It has been over a week now, and he is still moving slowly with his dark circles and pale skin.  He also naps.  Daily.  I mean, he just looks worn out!  In fact, at church Sunday I had at least 5 different people come to me to tell me he looks VERY sick.  He is determined to be better, and maybe, just maybe, his will can heal him (along with all my prayers!).

*his trip was awesome!  He said it was the hardest thing he has ever done, but that is was so much fun!!  People gave their life to Christ and an impact for the Kingdom was made!  They were able to baptize people in the river and see new churches formed.  Praise God!!

Praying he recovers quickly! Not fun to have a sick daddy around.
