Sweet Faith got a NEW birthday!
This week has been a week of questions for Faith. She brought me her Bible on Thursday night and asked me to read to her. So, of course, I did...I read starting in Luke 1. After we read a bit, we started to talk and the talking led to questions about salvation. She told me she knew she was a sinner (like when she threw that big fit earlier, she said. HA!) and that she knew if she didn't ask Jesus into her heart she would go to hell if she died. My heart about hit my throat when she told me, "but Daddy told me I had to get bigger first". A couple months ago when she first started asking questions, she did not fully understand what sin was and why a sacrifice was necessary. We have been waiting for her to come ask again when she was truly ready. Now she is!! So, Friday night after we read some more, she started asking questions again. This time she was a bit more urgent. I asked her why she wanted to ask Jesus into her heart and she said, "I just love Him soooo much!" I told her to go get Daddy and we would all talk about it. She replied to me, "why can't you help me like you did Sissy??" Umm...well. I was kind of at a loss because Cam was the one who told her she needed to wait before, so I wanted him to ask her some questions. She didn't want to go get him and said she would just wait until the next morning. I wasn't okay with that, so, because I am super blunt sometimes, even though it is unnecessary, I asked her, "what if you die while you are sleeping?" I know. Shameful. She looked at me like I was a retard and said, "I am too little die Mama". To my credit, I did not bring up her sister, but I may have panicked a little. So she went to her bed, and I got up and got Cameron. He talked to her a bit and soon she was jumping on my bed telling me they needed me. I went in and she was all grins. She then bowed her head and asked Jesus to be her Savior! The girl could NOT stop smiling. She was ear to ear grins with giggles that just bubbled out every other second or so. I told her now she had to tell someone. She immediately said she wanted to tell her Papa. So I told her she could go wake him up to tell him (he was totally okay with this as I knew he would be). The next day she told EVERYBODY she saw. She is beyond excited!! I'm pretty excited myself...maybe even more than she is! This is THREE people that I have had the opportunity to lead to Christ in the last 2 weeks. It just does something inside you that you can't put words to. LOVE it! It is pure awesomeness. I am so proud of her!
