Dumpy Kind of Day.

Do you ever just have those days where you really don't like your kids?  When they just won't act the way they know they should act?  Yeah?  Me too.  Today was one of those days.  Ellie got dressed for church in a pink frilly frou frou dress, which was just precious!  Then she peed in it.  All over the floor.  That was my first clue it was going to be a rough day.  Then, while at church, Gracie informed me that her shoes were too small and giving her blisters.  Ummm...WHY did she wear them?!  Oh.  That's right.  The neighbor's dog took her other pair of black shoes and ran away with them because she left them on the porch.  She ended up taking her shoes off and going barefoot at church.  We are on Holy Ground there--right?  I felt like a super great mom when she told everyone her ONLY black church shoes were too small.  I wouldn't be surprised if I get a donation tonight to buy her new shoes.  Ugh.  Then, the plan was for Faith to go forward to tell the church she accepted Christ at the end of the service, but DURING the service, she drew a huge green monster thing on her leg with a marker.  I mean, really?!  Tonight, Gracie is supposed to speak about camp, but she told me she didn't learn anything at camp because they only taught about stories she already knew.  I know for a fact this is not true because for the afternoon I was there, the Lord spoke to me about something I needed to hear!  She apparently wasn't paying attention.  Frustrating.  Then, this afternoon, the littles proceeded to kick the boards from under the top bunk until one of them (the boards, not the kids.  oh the shame.) fell off.  I would like to kick something too...but I won't.  Instead, I made cupcakes, and I may eat three of them to make myself feel better (or sick to my stomach.  either way)!
