Fun Times!

We have had the best weekend!  Saturday night we went to a big graduation bash at this amazing location in the middle of nowhere.  It is beautiful!!  There was great food, live music from talented musicians, good friends, and dancing!!  Not that I danced or anything.  Because you know Cam has no talent desire.  And it would just be weird to dance with someone other than him when I haven't graced a dance floor since high school.  Yikes!  That is a looonnnnng time!  I mean, I'm sure I would be a fabulous dancer.  Because, well, I cut a mean rug in my living room when I am dancing with the girls.  Anywho, we really had a great time!

Then, last night after church, we had an old fashioned ice cream social.  It was such a good time!  The ice cream was fabulous, because really, when is homemade ice cream NOT fabulous??  Then, we broke out the  dominoes.  Mexican Train.  I don't like that name.  I think we should rename it.  We started with adults then some of my our youth girls came over and wanted in on the action.  Naturally, we scooted and added chairs and crammed around the table like sardines to make room.  This in turn made the table of ladies turn into giggle machines.  Somehow, some way, the iPhone camera appeared and the tears began.  We laughed SO hard at the images captured.  I think every lady there was laughing so hard there were tears.  I'm not sure we played the game like it was intended to be played, but the joy at our table was blessed!  Then, in the midst of our fun, a prayer request was made.  We bowed our heads, quieted, and lifted the request to the Lord.  It was the sweetest part of the night for me.  I love that you can have FUN and still have Jesus right in the midst of it!  As the amen was said, the laughter resumed when we realized that for the people NOT at our table it would appear as though we were all praying over our dominoes...

Around 11:30, the tummies started rumbling and a decision was made to move our party to Applebees.  There were 15 of us that went to eat...and my girls wanted to know WHY we were eating at 11:30.  Ha!!  Speaking of my girls, what kind of mom lets her kids stay up that late?!  Sheesh.  We made it home a little before 1 this morning.  I chalk it up to a GREAT night with GREAT friends and memories that will last forever!

Oh my goodness, you party animal! I was SO tired I didn't get out of bed this morning (literally) and I didn't even stay out that late! It was a great "social" though. :>)

How fun!!! I love throwing the rule book out with my kids. Dinner at 11:30? Who cares? Good times!!!

And the dancing thing? Oh my goodness. Mr. B has the same "issue." He has no desire. Or talent. The man has NO rhythm. So sad...
