Egg-cellent Easter, Praise be to Jesus!!

On Friday, we dyed eggs.  Gracie claims it was her first time ever...I'm not sure about that, but I do know our fingers will never be the same!  They had a blast coloring, eating, hiding, hunting, and smashing the colorful creations!
She's a cheeser...and she won't take this necklace that she made all by herself off.  She's had it on for a week now.
These are my bird in a nest yummy things.  Adorable.
These are few of the over 5 dozen sugar cookies I made for the church Easter egg hunt.  I remember why I don't make these very often.
This is a good way to carry your basket.  Really.
 Faith's basket.  Books!
 Ellie's basket.  Dora!
Gracie's basket.  More books!  She really likes the Wally McDoogle books...
Easter morning.  Gracie took this one because Cam was already at church.
 And Faith took this one...
This is the start of the Easter egg hunt that Nanny (Cam's mom) does for the kids every year.  There are a gazillion eggs and you never know what you will find inside!  They all have SO much fun!
Faith collecting eggs...She would skip over tons to get to the perfect one.
The daddy's (brothers Cory, Cam, and Casey with the supervision of their dad, David) hide the eggs every year.  This year they hid them up high in the trees and the older kids had to climb to get them.  I *so* wish I could've gotten a picture of them hiding them up there...
Papa is helping Ellie, and it looks like he had plenty of instruction from Faith and Gracie. ha!
She hunted alone this year!  This is HUGE!  Yay!!

We had a really nice Easter.  We woke up a little before 7, which is early, but it was so nice to not be rushed getting ready for church.  The Lord had a packed house at our church, and extra chairs had to be added!  Praise Him!  That is so exciting to see!  After worship, we went and ate and relaxed with family.  It has been awhile since we have all been together and gotten to do that.  The reality of the day and what is means seems so hard to grasp in the midst of being busy, but I am so thankful for the sacrifice made for me.  I am thankful for our family and for the freedom to get to worship openly.  We serve a mighty risen Lord!
