Faith had her scopes done yesterday at Cooks (both a colonoscopy and an endoscopy) to see why exactly she has blood in her poo (and has had for almost 3 years). She did REALLY well. She was calm and sweet throughout waking up at 5 am to being taken away from us fully awake. Today she has a sore throat and tummy pain, but overall is back to her normal self!
A couple weeks ago, she had some blood work done. The results came back, and they said that she had some allergies that we needed to get checked out further and that the bleeding is not from her being constipated. I'm not sure how blood work shows whether or not it is coming from constipation, but that is what I was told. Perhaps the nurse misspoke. Her X-rays all looked normal too. They still wanted to do the scopes to check for damage in her intestines and to rule out "bad" things like Crohns disease. And rule it out was what it did! The scopes showed perfectly normal and clean intestines. There was a small area with bumps on it that could be caused from constipation or allergies. He told us it was constipation and to give her Miralax. However, that contradicts what the nurse told me. Soo. I will give her Miralax (even though she is very regular and it isnt hard at all). We see the allergist later this month and hopefully they will give us more information on her allergies. Allergies are simple (hopefully) and doable. I am so so so thankful that it was nothing serious.
So that is all the info on Faither. Except that she has developed extreme whininess. haha. Too bad there is nothing to fix that!!

So glad it isn't something major. Love yall!
Hey, so glad all is well. There are so many "natural" things you can do w/out getting into drugs for constipation. Shaklee is a vitamin company that makes a great, great, great little herb called Herblax. We've used it for kids. It helps keep the intestines and colon clean, regulates the system w/out a major overhall (if you get my drift) everytime you use it. Check it out - we totally love it!
