Dads Day

This is what I made the dads for Father's Day. The top picture is a copy of the label that I put on the bottles of homemade bbq sauce. The pic is a bit blurry, but they turned out cute!

Skating!!!

I have some pictures that I forgot to post *oops* of some random events in the last week. I will be posting them when I get a chance, so check back!
Gracie skates at home almost everyday, but this was her first time at a rink with the slick floors. She did GREAT!!
These are her friends Abby, Rebecca, and Peyton

This is the group doing the Hokey Pokey to the birthday girls (Abby and her sister)

For Sale

So. We are going to try to sell the Expedition. Just to free up the cash flow a bit. If you know anyone who may be interested, let me know!!

The Social

I am starting to think about Gracie's 7th Birthday party. SEVENTH!! She wants an ice cream social. How sweet...

I need ideas. So y'all feel free to leave them. Remember, it must be outdoors, the townhome is tiny. AND we have a neighborhood full of kids that will "drop in" for the festivities invited or not...and so you all know, you are all invited :)

The Rockies

My man!
We were 12000 feet high I think. REALLY high. Really cold. REALLY beautiful!!

Oops. Dad got stuck in the snow! lol

Evil little girl. she was throwing these at people!

This is him actually getting stuck. He was smiling though!!

We climbed the mountain...

Hammock time for the girlies. Their little booms were touching the ground!

This is how I spent my days. See the coffee pot. That was mine. :)

They liked the fish! They wanted to touch the sliminess...just gross.

Faith reeled these in. They were HER fish.

Gracie caught this by herself! She is our little fisherwoman!

Her "house". She and Ellie spent their time in here!

This paragraph was supposed to be BEFORE the pictures, but I was too lazy to move them all...
Our little vacation was fantastic! The temperature hovered in the 60s during the day and high 30s when we rolled out of the tent in the mornings. We sat around the fire drinking coffee all day it seemed! I rarely, if ever, was seen without a book in my hand. I spent my lazy afternoons swinging in a hammock...oh the life! I really NEVER thought I would say this, but I cannot imagine a better vacation than camping. We didn't have to spend money to entertain ourselves, we didn't have to go anywhere, I didn't have to put make-up on or fix my hair. I got to drink coffee perked on an open fire any time I wanted and it wouldn't make me hot. It was really really great. Our girls played in their "house" or in the dirt all day long. Their imaginations ran away with them. They were dirtier than they ever are, but also so very happy! Here are few snapshots of our week. (I apologize to my sexy husband for not taking any pictures of him fly fishing, but I got a little bored, uncomfortable, and wet while trying to watch him catch a fish--even though he looked super cute in those waiter things!).

Taking a Trip

We are heading to the cool mountains of Colorado Sunday morning. I'll be out 'til Saturday sometime. I'll try to bring some of that coolness home with me!

Uppercase Chalkboard

I ordered this neat chalkboard vinyl from Uppercase Living (Jaymie is a consultant), and with the help of Ray cutting down a window that Jay gave to me, I made this! I painted the frame and put the thing on there, and I painted the cabinet underneath to match. Then I decoupaged the little sign so I could put two expressions on there and turn it depending on how I am using the board. I just love it. I think it turned out great!

Run

I just went for a run, thinking that it would be a truly awful way to start the morning and at the same time a GREAT way to start the day. It started raining. At first I thought it was the best thing ever! I was rocking along to my iTunes and smiling and jogging, then the heavens opened up. I couldn't see in front of me! My clothes were all the way soaked through and my iPod was not staying dry despite it being under my clothing. I stopped under a tree to find a dry spot on my body to put the iPod when I heard a honk. It was my prince! He came out in the rain to drive me home...I think I just may have snagged myself a true knight. I adore him. :)
