The Trip

It took us f-o-r-e-v-e-r to get to China. But get there we did. Thanks to all your prayers, it was a successful trip. Our team was able to lead 28 people down the road of Glory! And we shared with hundreds that our Father will harvest later I'm sure. I was blown smooth out of my comfort zone at our first stop in China. Hong Kong. We went to eat lunch and I quickly realized that pork is the primary meat. Ummm...I don't eat pork. I don't like it. It makes me want to gag. But I pushed down my gag reflex and ate it. And it was the texture of yuck. Like dog food. Except I haven't eaten any. But I imagine it to be just as bad. That pretty much sums up the food for me until the last day. I ate it because I needed food, but I don't think I will miss it. The last day, however, was great! We ate some seafood, and I swear to you the calamari tasted like brownies. That sounds bad, but just think Duncan Hines. It was good. And for dinner we had fried lamb and glazed bananas, and my eyes may have rolled into my head it was so good! Umm...Satan attacked me physically starting from the second day. I got hit by a car. CRAZY drivers. It was coming behind me and raining, so I had a hood on and couldn't hear. A friend called my name and when I turned it rolled up my ankle. So my foot was all bruised and sore. And then I had some...issues that are a little too personal for you to want me to write about. And then a migraine. And then uncontrollable tears while witnessing and late in my room so I had to miss a day out. I tell you, it was tough! Beyond tough. And it was heartbreaking to hear these people tell us they didn't know anything about Jesus. And to see temples where they worship...wood and metal. And that is all they have. How do you not weep for them? Y'all. I cried a lot. It was a battle. And I sure want to scream that we won. But Satan had some victories too. Stupid Satan.
There is so much to tell, but it also very difficult to articulate. My heart hurt while we were there, and it is heavy today. There is a need. And as much as I realize that need, I don't want it to be me that goes. Isn't that awful??!! But Cameron is ready to leave. If it weren't for school, he would pack up tomorrow. Or tonight. I will try to post random thoughts when they come to me. If you have questions, ask me. It may jumpstart a story. :)
I added a bunch of pictures to my Facebook. So if you want, go there to see them. I even put captions!
