Look what I did today!!

Sad isn't it? There was NO other place for the stockings!
The chicas decorated all by themselves this year. Brave Mama I am :)
And not that I need to explain myself to you peeps, but for some reason I have major anxiety about what will happen after Thanksgiving. I keep thinking how when I return to tiny-ville we will have three and one half weeks until Christmas. In that time, I have to prepare scrapbooks for my girlies and letters for them open while we are in China. I have to pack myself and the kids. I have to shop for presents. I have to bake. I have to wrap said presents. I want to enjoy my new friends and the holidays. I want to return home for Ellie's intended's birthday. There is just A LOT to do...and I thought that if I waited to make the home festive until I got back, it wouldn't happen cheerfully. So, as I type, I am reflecting twinkle lights and enjoying the ambiance that only Christmas can bring...

l I have been anxiously waiting to decorate my house myself. I usually wait till after thanksgiving. I get it done the day after, or pretty soon after anyway. This year i want to do it NOW! I don't know why. I believe you did good setting up early. That way you can enjoy it before you leave. By the way, when I had no where to put stockings I put them on the wall next to the tree. This year I might find those neat stocking things like you have (where did you get them) and put them on that long table by the bar.

I have our Christmas decorations up too. Cory said that from the back of the house, it looks like a Norman rockwell painting inside our home. I just love him so much, all my hard work paid off. We are leaving for St. Louis on Monday, have a Happy Turkey Day!!!

Wow! Look at you, you crafty woman! I love the stockings!
I hope to get the inside of the house decorated this weekend. Who knows when the outside will get done as Adam deer hunts every weekend. I don't know...we'll see!
