It is raining and pouring big huge raindrops. I KNOW rain is benficial and needed and all that. But when I have to leave the house, I don't like rain. I want to stay home in lounge pants when it rains. Perhaps curled on the couch reading a book...
So, today, I am home. Not working on the new house. And I feel terribly lazy. I SHOULD be over there helping. Really. I want it to all be done, so we can move and be settled and I can be lazy with my girls whenever I want! Sounds incredibly selfish doesn't it?! Well. It's honest.
So, other than all the remodeling and painting, nothing is new. But when it is done, we are having an open house and all of you will have to come see! Speaking of...know of any cute ideas on how to do that without "asking" for gifts? I don't want presents, but I do want to invite others to come visit and satisfy their curiosity...

I feel the same about rainy days. I do NOT think it is selfish to want to lounge around with your children.

For those of us who can't come to your Open House, post pictures please!
When you make your invitations write it as an Open House and not House warming. Open house seems to say your just sharing with everyone, where as house warming is just that, everyone "warming" you into your new house (that sounds corny). At the bottom just simply put no gifts. Or write something cute like, 'we ask for no gifts just that you share this new change with us, or event' I dunno. I'm not good with coming up with good sayings. But a simple 'we ask for no gifts please' is good too.
It's ok to take a break every now and then. :) Please do post pics when it is all finished I would love to see it.

I can't be lazy and louge around even if I wanted to. I WANT TO, but that all changed when I had kids. When you send out invites, just state "no gifts." Also, since I won't be able to make it, you must post pics of your open house. I love all of that stuff! Where did you guys move to, what area?
