Sleeping Update

Ellie slept from 10:30-4:15 in her crib. Without nursing. WooHOO!!!!!! We are slowly making progress. She ate at 8:30 this morning, and not again until 3:15 or so. Someday, I think we will be weaned. Really I do! It is one of those exciting yet extremely sad things...

Cameron gave me an early Christmas present today. A new phone. At first I was thinking, "Ummm...I NEEDED that, so it doesn't count as a present". But, the more I looked at it, the more I saw how extremely thoughtful he was in his choosing this particular one. I have been telling him that I want an Ipod. The reason was for the music. Specifically to listen to the music while driving in the car with him. Because he likes silence or sports. I like neither. Well, the phone has an MP3 player in it. And a little keyboard thingy to text with, and it even has email! So, I am pretty pumped. I checked out the logistics, and it fits in the little pocket of my Vera bag. That was all I was concerned about. Plus, I can even buy a goofy little bluetooth (because they make them in pink, and that is kind of neat) if ever I choose to join the thousands who look like idiots talking to themselves while they are on the phone. Perhaps someday...

I also bought Cam's Christmas today. After dropping a whopping $500, I am done. He is done. And I seriously doubt that I will get that much loot! hehehe But he will love it, and that makes me sooooo excited. I am not sure I can wait a week to give it to him! But I must. Eek!!!!!!!!!!

About those folks talking to themselves in the mall.....I can top it in the "looking like an idiot" department...I had no CLUE what they were last year. This person began talking to me and I answered. He looked surprised. My teen son pulled me away and said, "Um...mom he was talking on the PHONE - see his ear?" ::snort::
