Well, we started off the morning by making homemade orange cranberry muffins (we got to squeeze fresh oranges for the juice). Then we took them outside and had our Bible study to begin school. We came inside when that was finished and did our "stuff" to fulfill the curriculum demands. Gracie wasn't thrilled that there was no experiment today because she wanted to "do" something, so we made rainbows out of paper and learned the difference between indigo and blue and violet. The whole day of school took us a little over an hour (and that is with us adding the craft and extra Bible study)! That is what I call school!
This is Gracie being goofy with the marker. Look how well she did making her own rainbow with NO help from me! Do you know how hard it is to let your kids make something that isn't perfect! Ohhhh, but it feels so good when you see the project they made ALONE!
Faith is learning to use scissors. Eek!! She didn't stay with us for the whole "day" of school, but she ran in and out to listen and join in occasionally.
