The other night (ohhh around 9:30), Cameron decided to look for his cycling shorts and jersey so he could go ride the next morning. This was not a last minute planned ride, mind you. It was simply a last minute scurry for his gear. Well, of course, he couldn't find it, and it was MY fault. I guess that is because I am the wife who actually washes the smelly stuff and puts it away. Well, by this time, I was half asleep and could not remember 1. when I put the stuff away or 2. where I put it. I had a general idea of it either being in the dresser or the closet. Those are logical places right? Well, he searched both places to no avail and goes to the garage to look there. He comes back in all huffy and full of pissiness and proceeds to tell me I must clean out the garage this week. I DO NOT take well to orders given to me just because of anger. So, I finish feeding Ellie, put her down, and go look for the stupid clothes so he can go exercise while I stay home with our kids :) I didn't look in the logical places first because he had already looked there. I searched under the bed, under every single thing in the closet and finally decided to check the drawers again. Of course, I did it QUIETLY so as not to disrupt the night. And guess what?! They were right there. In the drawer. Where I told him to look. Hmmmmmm....
All of that was to say that I have been cleaning like a mad woman this morning. I cleaned out the garage, unassembled the baby's changing table and put it in the attic, threw all kinds of stuff away, swept everything, cleaned out the backyard, had the girls wash all the outdoor toys (then re-did them because apparently they played in the water instead of washing), swept that all out, scraped the cover off a desk I am refinishing, and now I have to work on all the stuff I moved into the house from those areas to put away. Does anyone want to come lend a hand?!!
Oh! and while the girls were "cleaning" Faith pooped in the yard (she does it often--weirdo). Gracie started complaining of smell and saw that Faith had "eliminated". She tells me, gross!, and there was some on her hiney, so Gracie proceeds to wash the poop off with the water hose. Faith bent over and gave her full access. While totally gross, it was super funny! Her own little (the french word that starts with "b" but that I can only say not spell). Hehehehe...
