Everybody grab your checkbooks and go take advantage. Lowes sent out their midweek ad in today's paper and they are advertising Kitchenaid Artisan series mixers for $150!! Those things go on sale for $250. They retail at $299.99. It also says 30 colors are available through special order. And what is weird is that you can go their website and see the sale price but if you try to click on the mixer to purchase or read details, it won't let you. It says a problem has occurred. You are also unable to see that page in the ad. Weird.
So, I have a black one that I got about 6 years ago. I use it almost daily. The attachment hole no longer functions and it makes a very weird sound until I hit it, then it stops, kind of. I have been worried for some time now that it will just die on me, so today I got a new red mixer. It was a hard decision because, really, mine works fine, and I don't NEED it. But I didn't listen to myself saying ,"don't spend the money, wait until yours dies", I listened to the woman in me that screams, "it is half price!, and it never will be again!" My mixer just seems to tell me that it won't work for much longer (yes, my mixer speaks to me, doesn't yours?). One of those things... However, it did ring up the regular price and they had to do a price override to get it for $150. But they did it! Yay!! So anyone who wants/needs a black Kitchenaid Artisan mixer that makes noises but functions just fine, call me ;)

Steph, you really use your mixer THAT often!! I guess I'm not "Suzy Homemaker" as much as you. I mean, guess you do have to have kids in order to have that title......and that's never gonna happen......OBVIOUSLY!!:( I usually use mine around holidays. Kudos to you for being THAT good!!!
