100th Post!!!!

I just noticed that this is my 100th post. Isn't that fun?! It sure would be neat to get 100 posts (yes, I realize that is a BIG dream). Okay, so here are pics and details of our trip...beware...this will be a loooooong post.

We left our home Monday early afternoon to head to the Metroplex. I was scared out of mind because I do not like to drive with other cars near me. I freak out a bit when I have to be near a semi. Okay. I freak out A LOT. I grip the wheel until my knuckles turn white and I scream this little scream until it passes. And needless to say, there were many many big trucks.

The girls did great all the way there. Ellie didn't wake up until we were about 5 minutes from Shawna's house. And even then, she didn't scream. What a good baby! We found our way through the maze of mansions until we arrived on Shawna's doorstep. The girls were thrilled to be there asking when they got to go to the pool :) really, it was the relatives there were excited about. Gracie LOVES being in houses with "a upstairs". It is the coolest thing to her. My poor little child whose horizons are so short...Faith only fell down the stairs once while we were there, but the fall came after her attempt to fly. She jumped out of the back of Shawna's Expedition after a visit to the pool hoping someone would catch her (we were getting other things out of the car) and she landed on her face on the concrete. I have never heard that scream before. I about peed my pants and flew myself trying to get to her. Her little face was scratched up and swollen (her eye was half closed). It was awful!! After all this fun, we went to Six Flags.

We had so much fun! The girls loved every minute of it. It was a little hot, but not miserable, and the lines were not all that long. It was really a very nice visit, probably my best summer time visit ever.

By now, it was Wednesday and we were pooped out! We went to the pool again then off to South Fort Worth to see Kelly. We went to her office then to Chuck-E-Cheese (yuck. I know. But the kids had great fun and we got to just sit, and the pizza seems to have improved). So we drove home and tried to rest before the return drive to San Angelo the next morning. Once we got back into San Angelo it was a flurry of activity as I had to prepare my home and attitude (I was GROUCHY) for Bunco that night. After Bunco, which I won with most wins..yay!, we showered and got into bed to wait for Cameron's return. The girls didn't make it, but I sure did. I am just glad the hectic busy stuff is over and we can get back to normal things for us, whatever that may be...

I'm glad a got to be in on some of the fun with you and Shawna, and all the grandkids. I really wish you guys were closer so we could do stuff like that more often!! Congrats on the 100th post! It really does help me for those long stretches in between visits.
