Books, Books, and more Books!!

I ordered Gracie's kindergarten curriculum last week, and it came in the mail yesterday. I see the FedEx truck and meet him at the door where is is toting a dolly. Yes, a dolly. For books. We received two huge boxes of...stuff. It took me an hour or so to get up the nerve to open them. When I finally did, I was soo overwhelmed. There are like 50 books, not to mention the 4 separate reams of subject matter. Then we have electives. She is in kindergarten!! Do we really need electives? Holy cow! This is supposed to be step by step easy teaching, which is why I ordered this specific brand, considering how I have 3 kids. I have looked and read and reread and I have no clue what it is that I am supposed to do. Hmmmmm....this could be a problem.

On a much heavier note than my schooling issues, my cousin, Josh, goes to Afghanistan today. He is part of some special mission group (from the way I understand it). They will drop him and 3 others off at some undisclosed location where they are expected to complete a mission then go back to home base. My aunt is beside herself with worry as I am sure his girlfriend is as well. So, I am pleading with you all to say a quick prayer on his behalf for his safety (and all the other brave ones fighting so we can blog safely in our homes).

Have a blessed day!!!
