Let me just say that this is the SECOND time I have written this because one of my children, I won't name names, turned the computer off as I was finishing. I am now a lot frustrated because time is a precious commodity that is short around here these days. I also want to go on record saying that three kids is HARD!! Especially so when the middle one is still one and needy. They are a joy, but I have never been more tired in my life! Thank the Lord for undereye cream that reduces puffiness!! I am not sure where to begin in the saga of our life so I will tell you about the ones who keep me busy...
Gracie is the best big sister a girl could hope for! She is calm and loves to sit and hold Ellie. She is also super helpful around the house. She will pick up toys, fetch things that I need, or just play with Faith. She is also very quick to let me know when I ask too much of her. She looks at me with those enormous blue eyes that are twinkling with a touch of sass (don't know where she gets that!) and asks, "Who do you think I am, Cinderella?" Guess that makes me the wicked stepmother...
Faith is...busy. She makes herself busy by stealing the pacifier, pushing the baby swing, with Ellie on board, to maximum heighth (I do not recommend this!), and trying to make Ellie fly by pushing the top of the bouncer seat all the way to the floor...I caught her before she could release it...she is also very loving though. She gives us all the sweetest kisses way more often than she did before Ellie.
Elli is growing. I have had to clean out the clothes already. It was so sad to think that these things will never be used again. Definitely bittersweet. She eats all day and stays awake all night. She is so spoiled that we can hardly put her down, but I want to cherish the moments when I get to sit and rock a sweet smelling baby, just in case this is my last one (which I am pretty sure is the case).
Cameron is working hard. He is a big help around here! Faith is now officially a Daddy's girl. She goes to him and wants him to help her with all things. I am not sure how this makes me feel...I always teased that it would be great for the kids to want Daddy, but I kind of miss it! He also did REALLY good at Christmas shopping for me this year. What a great husband I have!!
As a sidenote, Christmas was wonderful! We got way too many new toys and were really spoiled by everyone. Isn't life grand?!! The tree was down yesterday by noon, and today's agenda includes making thank you notes. I love the holidays, but I also love the normal times of year! Have a good one!
